An aspiring Jewish actor moves out of his parents' Brooklyn apartment to seek his fortune in the bohemian life of Greenwich Village in 1953.

The Village is a BBC television drama created and written by Peter Moffat. Consisting of two six-episode series, Moffat envisioned the project as a 42-hour televised epic. The first series covers the years 1914 to 1920; the second continued the story into the 1920s. However, it was not commissioned for a third series. This epic drama charts the turbulent times experienced by one English village throughout the 20th century.One man, Bert Middleton, lives across the entire 100-year period, and his story from boyhood to old age forms the crux of the programme's story, as told through flashbacks as Bert reminisces while being interviewed in the present day by a director making a documentary about the elderly man and his village. Among the events Bert recounts is being smitten at the age of 12 by beautiful Martha Lane, whose family had just arrived in the village, an event that would change his world forever.

In a once-scenic village now dominated by a vast trash disposal site, a young man yearns to break free from a cruel fate tying him to the very grounds.

When a willful young man tries to venture beyond his sequestered Pennsylvania hamlet, his actions set off a chain of chilling incidents that will alter the community forever.

'L'Alqueria Blanca’ ('The White Village') proposes a journey through time, up to the 1960s, which reflects the life of an inland village, in the Alcoià county. The atmosphere is eminently rural and is marked by the great differences between the two most representative families of the place, the Falcó and the Pedreguer, who star in a series of stories with love above the class difference, envy, jealousy and scandal. It all comes down to some unstoppable advances in society.

In this making-of documentary, we see movie snippets, shots from the set, and interviews. We get notes from the crew and cast. We learn about the movie's genesis and development, the choice of time period and setting, finding a location and creating the sets, the flick's visual design and cinematography, working with the actors and bonding on the set, the costumes, problems with the weather, shooting in the woods, casting, the actors' "boot camp", editing and storyboards, audio design, the score, and the movie's creatures.

Greg,an unsuccessful screenwriter and Rachel,a beautiful journalist research an outbreak of mass hysteria in a small village. They start to uncover a secret about ergot poisoning that has affected this village for years. But the cult activity has been kept a secret by the locals and when Greg disappears, Rachel is left alone to unravel the mystery and save their lives.

After a dance-team initiation goes awry, a group of badly behaved Catholic school girls begin having prophetic visions that set off mass hysteria in their town.
